Castle Metals operates a comprehensive Health and Safety Management System and is committed to achieving certification to BS OHSAS 18001 by the end of 2014. The company aim is to comply with the terms of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations 1999 and subsequent amendments and to provide and maintain a healthy and safe working environment.

The company’s core Health and Safety objective is to minimise the number of instances of occupational accidents and illnesses and ultimately to achieve an accident-free workplace. All employees are provided with such equipment, information, training and supervision as is necessary to implement our Health and Safety Policy and achieve our core Health and Safety objective. Castle Metals is a member of the British Safety Council.


It is the aim Castle Metals to comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations, review the environmental aspects of working practices and pursue all activities within the control of the company in such a way as to reduce our environmental impact. In order to achieve the aims of our Environmental Policy it is the aim of the company to develop and implement an Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 with the objective of achieving certification by the end of 2015.
